When I say "irrational stance" I mean it's not one you can reasonably defend with arguments based on the self-interests of the nation
I thought it was obvious based on us talking about political stances, but maybe it's worth clarifying
the individual actors in the system that results in support for israel are acting rationally to some extent

If you get paid to push a stance, "I got $500 from my rabbi" is not a rational argument for why Israel is our greatest ally
