I'm fairly sure that the talking point that shidlibs bring up about how, as people get richer, they have fewer kids, resulting in an inevitable shortage of labour, is truly false.
The crux of the problem is that, taken towards infinity, there will be no more "poor people" (as that is a core assumption), and that rich people can never "become" poor people or have poor kids.
