it's an OG Groyper channel
If you’re depressed you should ask why. Do you have unfulfilled goals ?
If you think about how difficult we find it to socialise, we bottle up emotions, so there's the layer of imposter syndrome. Everybody knows you as a timid buy but you're literally seething with rage and sadness.
@fuguer Not depressed. Just sad somtimes.
I only Seethe with sadness not rage
More of a melancholy really
Any honest man would tell you that non-theocratic fascism is extremely liberal in comparison
Which just makes me appreciate life more
With practice you can become less timid socially and more outgoing
It is a skill you can work at like any other
Who wants friends tho?
I mean especially in your 20s people’s lives are changing so fast it can be hard to hang onto friends
I find it hard to connect with people day to day, especially men
The issue with being high functioning is that you're self-aware enough to know that your skill set is extremely asymmetrical. No matter how passionate you are at something, you feel like you're always at a disadvantage.
But you're also functioning enough that people expect you perform on the level of a normal person, and you will constantly have doubt applied to you and your condition because of your ability to function.
Yes my skill set is extremely asymmetrical but really that’s a hallmark of everyone who is highly intelligent
Not just autists
I know my skillset sucks in all areas
My fine motor skills are crap. I feel like I'll never drive a car. I can't even cook or organise myself. I want nootropics because I feel like I literally need performance enhancing drugs to do things normal people can do.
Everybody must be given a name by the Church
none of this BS
Not cooking and organizing yourself is probably because you don’t have to. Some skills you won’t develop until you’re forced to
I think most people who aren't lemming and aren't extremely well socialized will always have issues with social situations in todays society
People don't get it.
this is good to not have to se blocked msg
I'm cackhanded, always have been.
I’m pretty sure you can learn to drive a car you just need to train your motor cortex
I reckon I could handle living alone, but it brings constant frustration to me that can't learn things everybody else already knows.
When I learned to drive it seemed super hard like I was trying to do 20 things at once. Eventually it became second nature and habit
I suppose. But people aren't as understanding.
i read that high iq people like 120+ starts having problems taking drivers licance the smarter there are how was it for you duck man+
?
They see you as a normal person who is just totally inept.
Yeah I think we all have similar brain mass so if you’re super high functioning in some areas you may have deficits in others. It’s like that for me
Because you are "functional", they'll assume you're just stupid, and accuse you of making excuses if you bring up your condition.
Life is about leveraging your strengths and being able to avoid or shore up your weaknesses
