Nothing is stopping you from doing more yourself, but you shouldn't feel insulted.

What's the point in distinguishing degrees of sin when they are being treated the same? Shouldn't a more severe one elicit more penance just like it damages the relationship with God more severely?

If you keep repeating a sin after a considerable amount of confessions you’re not really repenting

He may ask you if it is a habitual sin, but he may not say "I remember you confessed this last time".
