Do you just eat two large meals a day or eat as much as you need for gains past noon?
I go to the gym in the morning, have lunch between noon and 3pm, then occasional small snacking until like 6pm (which I should cut out). And then no food until the next day
Ok, makes sense. My question was how do you maintain the caloric surplus and fast at the same time.

Hunger is mostly a meme. You can suppress the feeling and the cravings.
Once your liver runs out of glycogen, you start burning fat for fuel.
The more carbs you eat, the more glycogen is stored in your liver. And the amount that goes over the liver's capacity, gets put stored as fat

If you want to know how you can fast without feeling like death, its mostly about drinking saltwater, in addition to regular water
What about switching and eating only breakfast and lunch then fasting from noon to breakfast the next day?
Your last meal should be max 12h before bedtime
Otherwise the hunger kicks in and makes falling asleep really hard
