to the majority
and he is actually appealing to the majority with what he's saying now and laying hooks to explore the more numinous and inexplicable parts of the faith
Yeah, but that has its downsides
early on he described himself as a radical traditionalist
in really early interviews
but he revised that description of himself
I know a guy who was interested in Christianity, but after watching JP, now he has this view that it's all just metaphors and archetypes
That's a shame
Yeah
Because Jordan Peterson does mention, especially in what I linked, that "just because the metaphors are true, doesn't mean that's all that's true about them"
like, it being a real event that happened would only confirm that it would also be archetypally true and be the pattern of all of human life
So we have to be careful with him. I don't want him to be a stumbling block for people who are on the fence
That's just how deep God runs in the cosmos
It's just JP wants to stick to evidence of God in science, since everyone reasonable (in theory) will agree on that
science gets to be right, and christians get to be right
everyone wins
He's ridiculously optimistic
Any of you dudes have experience with ritdye?
Good conversations again in the meme chat
Purgatory is what I cannot accept tbh
the view on it is same with me in 2 years ago.
I also noticed that St.Mark of Ephesus wrote good criticism against purgatory.
I also heard the catholic's view on Purgatory. But As well as 2 years ago and a year ago, My mind doesn't accept it.
So convert @Βασίλειος Θεοδόσιος
I think he is in the process or is already Orthodox
Converting to the Orthodox
Converting from presby to Orthodox
@Βασίλειος Θεοδόσιος yeah stay away from presbys, mate
I come from Assemblies of God
👌 🙏 😍
Kek'd at the art of war image.
However, more often than not people do require having the obvious explained to them.
Also, if anyone could explain to me what a 'Li" actually is, that'd be grand.
I mean
It's pretty obv
But as the romans proved
If you master and pass down what's obvious
Especially institutionally
You dont need especially bright generals to win wars
@Based Chav not sure which you're referring to, but a "Li" was a measure of distance in ancient china, used in how we use miles or kilometers.
