Ok the one I've seen before is only an excerpt I guess, it's way longer
Got my favourite line already
I hate the feeling of stagnation
That's what I feel like I've been going lately
Honestly though, I'm stunned by the difference getting into the Jesus prayer makes, it really is something powerful. Like, being mindful that it isn't a mantra, and meditating on it, I'll commit to saying it some number of times and count it on my fingers and it's been doing a lot for me, just being mindful of the power of the name of Jesus and His mercy
I've been doing daily rosaries for about six months now, and I've all but beaten my problems with chastity, but now I'm not sure how to progress
>worshipping senses
@kgoodsir99 improve your understanding of God
And Natural Law
Who's worshiping senses?
Stagnation is a frame of mind. Prayer is a vaccine as much as a cure. You just have to change your frame of reference from your prayers as a means of overcoming something to the joy of the prayer itself
This is Catholic philosophy
You're all wrong
I know the basics
@kgoodsir99 how do you feel you're stagnating? Is it in your faith? Or is it in life?
Both
What is keeping you from moving?
I made huge progress in the former from April - August though
Read something and then meditate on it
@SUPER MALE VITALITY™ Honestly, it's fear
Fear that I'll fall into sin again, that I'll always be a loser, that the world is getting worse, that my family and friends are going to hell, etc
Sounds like you need a healthy dose of faith
Then move, and place all of your faith in the God you've been praying to that's been redeeming you thus far
Why do you not trust God?
And where praying the rosary was an act of passion for God a few months ago, it's almost an act of fear now
I'm afraid to miss a day
@Wrath I trust God, I just don't trust myself
Reject that thinking, that things are hopeless, because you have seen the work of God and you have seen the good. It is barely even faith then to keep hold of that.
What are you afraid of? As long as you strive to follow God's plan and God's word, then you shall not fail.
Doubt is the whisper of the devil, you know this world is dead that's nothing to fear
You might stumble, but God will always be there to get you back on your feet
I'm having a hard time reading what God wants from me rn though
I know that feel my friend
For a good few months, even though they were rough, I felt I heard Him loud and clear, now almost not at all
Which is why I'm so reluctant to move in any particular direction
Read about the saints, read scripture, meditate on the word of God.
But I'm also suffering from this, it's like a paralysis
