I'd disagree with you there. /rel/ had a lot of good points, true. And it had a lot of bad. I will admit that there were more good points than bad, but we can't ignore the bad simply because of that. As for whether or not it'll come back, well... I have no idea about that.
/rel/ doesn't have to be deep or meaningful. It was just a facebook group for jaded Christians who hate what the world has become and want to have a group to talk about things
I get the feeling /rel/ needs to be over though. If we’re going to do anything meaningful as a group we need to be able to move beyond shitposting and complaining about the modern world sucking. Within the format of a Facebook group that’s hard to do. The temptation to mess around is too great. If our movement is going to go forward we need to let /rel/ go.
Archibald's right. As Christians, we should always strive for that which is deep and meaningful, not that which is transitory. Yes, it is good to identify the problems we encounter. One we know the problem, we can, with the help of God, create a solution.
But not everything has to be super meaningful. It is complimentary
Distracting is the word I would use
One fuels the other
A good laugh is good to have now and then. A wholesome joke is a delight. And we've still got room for memes here. We've also got plenty of room for good solid discussion. The forum is nothing but meaningful discussion.
for you
Only to an extent. You can attract the right kinds of people with the activities that /rel/ engaged in but to mold those people into christian men and women who can make a meaningful change in the world you must remove the fun and games come a certain point and force commitment.
Otherwise the likelihood is most people will just retreat into memeing and get nothing done
Precisely. If that happens with too many people, we lose even more hope of bringing solid faith back to the world.
Only the Apostolic Catholic Orthodox Church it is the one true church the rest are lies
But how much are they lies? Is everything about the others a lie?
Mozalbete I bet you are s papist
What a great detective you are, rabbi
Oh now I am a jew branded now I must go to camp
Calling each other names will get us nowhere.
Enboy ur pool, jaw :DDDDDDDD
OY VEYYYYYY I GOT DISCOVERED YET AGAIN IT WAS JUST ME QUEST TO DIVIDE AND CONQUER REL AND DESTROY IT
Dolfy, I understand you want everyone to know the truth. But how far from the truth am I, a Catholic? How much do I have to rethink? Everything? Most of it? Just a little? How wrong am I?
Where do the legio christi chapter symbols come form?
The Greek letters chi and ro, the first two letters of Christ's name, which look to us like X and P. Then there's the Alpha and the Omega. As for who first arranged them as they are now, I don't know.
The entire symbols: https://legiochristi.com/chapters/
Oh, wow.
I haven't fully explored the site yet, didn't know about all these symbols.
They look amazing.
My guess is that each chapter designs them, but I have no idea.
The Liverpool chapter is self explanatory
They use Saint George
I shall remain here here and expose REL evil side until a bullet or a admin banned appeal vote removes me
@Karst S. to respond to your post last night, before I had to go to bed, and then head to work this morning, I dont know if that is a good or a bad thing
I seem to be behind the curve of most people though. Have trouble relating to that part of peoples lives since I've never really experinced it.
To the guys who prayed for me yesterday... you were probably the ones who made that grandpa so strong
Dolfy Mitler we’re probably friends.
I’m a founding member of /rel/
We had dozens of outright converts and based on some things a lurker told me recently we might have hundreds.
I’ve run out catechism chat for a very long time.
*our
/rel/is not an evil place
Also Dolfy I’m no ecumenist, but two things are necessary.
