Got through vetting lads.
Literally who
I'm from Legio Christi on FB and the Forums on the site. Not really anyone you would know probably.
Why do so many protties like to ignore what Paul writes in 1 Corinthians
I always like that friends will talk about 'context this' & 'context that', when Paul literally says right after that what he said isn't just opinion, but from God
Talking to a mate about it and he brings the fair point that the Corinthian church had issues w/ women, but the language Paul uses is more generalised than it should be if he was talking ONLY to the Corinthians.
@PTSDProts in general
'The Corinthian church had issues with women"
So
Athos is a Corinthian? 🤔
a dude I know went to SSPX capuchine monastery
Oh no my parish is cucked
if somebody lets a woman enter, the woman and the guy who let her in are excommuniated
even if they are only visitors
Went away for four weeks and came back to music and singing
where do you go to church my lad ?
And the priest mentioning a bundle of sticks
And women in leadership
In a positive way

I am, but the role doesn't seem to work
I got to one on the outskirts of town it is nice everyone wears veils and they do the rosary
Yeah it’s epic
One of the priests at my Parish gave a sermon on the abuse scandal on Sunday.
The core message was essentiallly "sit down and shut up".
Why?
It was quite a sight to see a line of angry Radtrad young men almost synchronously fold their arms and proceed to stare daggers.
....We're not altogether sure.
We all have our theories on the matter.
P thinks it's do with this particular priest's lineage. Formerly aristocratic family, but very much lacking the noblesse obliges they used to have. P knows this priest better than the rest of us, so it bears consideration.
C thinks it wasn't particularly "wrong", as it was intended for people to act without knowing what's going on, and thinks P is being uncharitable to this particular priest.
I'm thinking it's just the fact that the Oratorians, in my experience at least, are a very "Don't rock the boat" sort of order.
I think overall P is right, it's a poor message, especially if how the knee-jerk interpretation of such proved to be true; what's more, taking the "When we want to know what the Laity thinks on the matter, we'll ask" approach simply isn't gonna work. The whole thing is not the sort of mess that can easily be solved from top down.
