I think it has it's uses. Aquinas went too far in inserting philosophy IMO, but I think the idea of being precise in defining theology with academic language is beneficial
@Quarantine_Zone Church Fathers were already precise + he didn't had the right, according to St. Vincent of Lerins + his premises of reflexion are false because he based his reflexion on some parts of the False Decretals = Σκατα
He even quote fake Council canons in order to base his reflexion

One of my concerns with scholasticism is that it can be overreaching at times. In Lutheranism we have this doctrine called Objective Justification. Some Lutherans think it's right and some think it's wrong, but whenever I see people debate it, it just seems like an argument about terminology, which is sad.
