Exactly what I said

2018-11-24 12:28:20 UTC

Polytheist, and saying that I should worship the Pope

2018-11-24 12:28:40 UTC

It seems like you are not a true christian

2018-11-24 12:29:18 UTC

You are a former protestant, right?

2018-11-24 12:29:26 UTC

What are you talking about. You just admit the Pope is your God.

2018-11-24 12:29:36 UTC

You did, too, then

2018-11-24 12:29:42 UTC

>The pope is your God

2018-11-24 12:30:02 UTC

So you said that either there are several gods, or it is both mine and yours if there is only one

2018-11-24 12:30:05 UTC

You know what "your" is meaning?

2018-11-24 12:30:14 UTC

And you know what "according to you" is meaning?

2018-11-24 12:31:05 UTC

Two can play the same game

2018-11-24 12:31:30 UTC

If you are going to try to twist my words in not even a subtle way, then I can do the same, snake

2018-11-24 12:33:30 UTC

You just admit that the Pope was your god.

2018-11-24 12:33:31 UTC

It's not a game. You avoid the Aquinas rebutal by claiming the papal primacy. This is the only way out the Roman Church has in all debates. The problem is : your debater doesn't recognize this authority. So you're autistic.

2018-11-24 12:34:05 UTC

@Constantin le Lamantin Can you please point out where I have said that the Pope is my God?

2018-11-24 12:35:18 UTC

But let me remind you something: the papal primacy is supposed to be rooted in the Early Church too. According To Pie IX.

2018-11-24 12:35:23 UTC

@Lao Tseu Takedown Regarding Aquinas, here is Aquinas' wall of text: http://www.newadvent.org/summa/1036.htm#article3 The problem is you don't understand baic enligh

2018-11-24 12:35:56 UTC

@Lao Tseu Takedown It is. From Peter, the Rome see has always been given primacy. It has been a thing since then.

2018-11-24 12:37:19 UTC

No, Pie IX named the Holy doctors and Holy Fathers too. Go read Vatican 1.

2018-11-24 12:37:38 UTC

What are you even trying to say?

2018-11-24 12:37:48 UTC

As I asked before, are you a former protestant?

2018-11-24 12:40:11 UTC

I'm saying the papal primacy and infallibility have to be rooted in the Early Fathers, because Pie IX himself claimed it. Otherwise Pie IX is mistaken inside the infallible definition of the infallibility and the house of cards collapses.

2018-11-24 12:40:20 UTC

Further than that

2018-11-24 12:40:23 UTC

It is rooted in Christ

2018-11-24 12:40:30 UTC

It seems that the Early Fathers are your gods

2018-11-24 12:40:59 UTC

It is consistent with the attitude of the early Fathers and the primacy that was given to the roman see as succerssor of the role of Peter

2018-11-24 12:41:05 UTC

You obviously don't know your own magisterium.

2018-11-24 12:41:26 UTC

You obviously don't even know basic english, so are you going to try to educate about magisterium?

2018-11-24 12:41:52 UTC

But it is not surprising, considering your gods are the early Fathers :^)

2018-11-24 12:42:06 UTC

Vatican 1 is clear. The papal primacy and infallibility ARE claimed by the Church Fathers.

2018-11-24 12:43:04 UTC

So, if that's actually not claimed, Pie IX is wrong.

2018-11-24 12:43:18 UTC

Claimed does not mean rooted

2018-11-24 12:43:28 UTC

The root of something is its source

2018-11-24 12:43:39 UTC

Not when it was acknowledged

2018-11-24 12:43:54 UTC

Which is why I said "further than that, it is rooted in Christ"

2018-11-24 12:44:06 UTC

No. It's off topic.

2018-11-24 12:44:17 UTC

You don't get my point.

2018-11-24 12:44:43 UTC

Off topic?

2018-11-24 12:44:50 UTC

It directly addresses what you said

2018-11-24 12:47:57 UTC

I'm looking for the Pastor Aeternus quote, pls hold on

2018-11-24 12:49:00 UTC

6. For the Holy Spirit was promised to the successors of Peter not so that they might, by his revelation, make known some new doctrine, but that, by his assistance, they might religiously guard and faithfully expound the revelation or deposit of faith transmitted by the apostles. Indeed, their apostolic teaching was embraced by ALL THE VENERABLE FATHERS and reverenced and followed by all the holy orthodox doctors, for they knew very well that this See of St. Peter ALWAYS REMAINS UNBLEMISHED by any error, in accordance with the divine promise of our Lord and Savior to the prince of his disciples: "I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail; and when you have turned again, strengthen your brethren."[60]
