Oh dang, just went and actually read Habakkuk, it's actually fire

2019-04-17 05:42:08 UTC

"17 Though the fig tree should not blossom,
    nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
    and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
    and there be no herd in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
    I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
19 God, the Lord, is my strength;
    he makes my feet like the deer's;
    he makes me tread on my high places."
Habakkuk 3:17-19

2019-04-17 05:59:37 UTC

It's just now impacting me about the cathedral burning down and I'm kinda weeping.

2019-04-17 06:00:51 UTC

Man it sucks. Literally why I loved Europe was because of Beautiful Cathedrals like that.

2019-04-17 06:09:38 UTC

Part of why reading that book was so impactful right now tbh. Habbakuk is actually really comforting in that respect. He spends the whole of it pissed off at God, wondering why he is using the Chaldeans to punish Israel, and God replies saying judgement will come to them too, and to have faith. Good comfort in these trying days that though God passes judgement on His people, so too and harsher will He judge those who oppress them.

Daniel 2:44 "And in the days of those kings, the God of Heaven shall set up a kingdom that shall not be brought to ruin. It shall crush and put an end to all other kingdoms. It itself shall stand for time indefinite."

2019-04-17 07:41:39 UTC

Oy

2019-04-17 12:11:49 UTC

Any Uk*ainians here?

2019-04-17 12:16:33 UTC

Decided I'm going to do some baking for various social circles once the Lenten fast ends this weekend. Turns out I need 2kg of flour, 2kg of sugar, 25 eggs, 2.5kg of various kinds of chocolate, almost a litre of cream to name a few.
