but then i'd have to get those books

2019-08-15 03:06:02 UTC

can a charitable soul provide me with a link disproving the obvious lies and myths around the crusades?

2019-08-15 03:07:56 UTC

all i find are old blogs and docs made by israel lovers

2019-08-15 03:08:34 UTC

Lying against the Church is nothing new, ever since I read up on America's founding fathers, i actively starting disliking them. Thomas Paine, the faggot who wrote "Age of reason" actively made fun of Catholics being massacred by Robespierre saying how "they should perform their miracles now". The same asshole who talked about freedom, actively laughed at the freedom of the Clergy being taken away and them being exiled or killed. America as a country is Anti Catholic, America has never been supportive of Catholics, the one Catholic president we had got Shot, the people who founded it slandered the Church and now modern americans (and this is everywhere too, but it is caused by Americanism) are trying to subvert Church Dogma and morality.

2019-08-15 03:11:49 UTC

yeah it ain't called the Great Satan for nothing

2019-08-15 03:12:08 UTC

hmm, I never heard it being called "The Great satan", who invented that term

2019-08-15 03:13:49 UTC

heard it being thrown around a lot

2019-08-15 03:13:54 UTC

i think it fits

2019-08-15 03:13:58 UTC

I agree

2019-08-15 03:29:38 UTC

Sola Scripura Protestants aren't that dumb, the dumb ones are usually just followers of Sola Scriptora Protestants that half listen to the people they idolize and act like that's tantamount to actually opening up scripture. Not that Sola Scriptora Protestants always come to sound conclusions or anything, but Catholics don't tend to give Scripture enough credit. It is adequate for most things to the average person, authority mostly exists to make sure people who don't actually have reading comprehension skills aren't spreading half-read bullshit (outside a few key issues where there is genuine debate)

2019-08-15 03:30:35 UTC

Sola Scriptura is dumb

2019-08-15 03:30:37 UTC

Context IS important, and reading it without guidance can give way to any kind of erroneous interpretation or conclusion on it's teachings

2019-08-15 03:30:46 UTC

Therefore, Sola Scriptura prots are dumb

2019-08-15 03:31:06 UTC

sola scriptura more like dumbdumb scriptura

2019-08-15 03:32:07 UTC

It is, but also the context for the practical aspects of scripture are there as well. Of course guidance is necessary for the more philosophical bits of theology, and understanding a lot of the why, but scripture is robust in itself for the life of the average person.

2019-08-15 03:32:44 UTC

My Dad believes that Faith alone is what saves a man, but then James says that "Do you see that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?"

2019-08-15 03:32:44 UTC

Doesn't seem that way, considering the protestants can't even follow basic scripture.

2019-08-15 03:32:55 UTC

James 2:24

2019-08-15 03:32:55 UTC

**James 2:24 - Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)**

```Dust
<24> Do you see that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only? ```
2019-08-15 03:33:42 UTC
of course we can't discredit the importance of the scripture, but that cannot be the basis of your beliefs and morality by itself
2019-08-15 03:33:43 UTC
Faith and works is a chicken and egg question, both camps believe there needs to be the presence of both outside megachurch retards
2019-08-15 03:34:01 UTC
Sola Fide is just as irrational as Sola Scripture though
2019-08-15 03:35:09 UTC
yes it is
2019-08-15 03:35:29 UTC
Sola Fide essentially is meant to mean you are saved by faith, but if you are saved there will be works, or else you are not because you bear no fruit. It's not meant to mean the contemporary bullshit of "I have faith so I can do whatever and I'm definately saved"
2019-08-15 03:35:36 UTC
Both are dumb as shit lmao
2019-08-15 03:35:39 UTC
Prots are dumb
2019-08-15 03:35:53 UTC
Agreed
2019-08-15 03:35:57 UTC
Sola literally means Alone
2019-08-15 03:36:42 UTC
Sola Fide, Faith Alone, there cannot be anything else with it or else it is not Faith Alone, but Faith and Works
2019-08-15 03:37:25 UTC
Reformation theology is more complex than the pithy statements people have clung to, just like even Calvinists don't understand the five points of Calvinism a lot of times because so many people clung to the TULIP acronym
2019-08-15 03:37:44 UTC
sola fide was proposed as a counter to the (errenous) understanding of indulgences
2019-08-15 03:37:44 UTC
a heresy can be as detailed as it wants
2019-08-15 03:38:13 UTC
Matthew 7:24-27
2019-08-15 03:38:14 UTC
**Matthew 7:24-27 - Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)**
```Dust

<24> Every one therefore that heareth these my words, and doth them, shall be likened to a wise man that built his house upon a rock, <25> And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell not, for it was founded on a rock. <26> And every one that heareth these my words, and doth them not, shall be like a foolish man that built his house upon the sand, <27> And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was the fall thereof. ```

2019-08-15 03:38:20 UTC

Faith alone sets works as fruit rather than an element of the roots of salvation.

2019-08-15 03:38:39 UTC

That is my rebuttal to Protestantism, it doesn't matter how nice it looks, if the foundation is bad, so is the structure.

2019-08-15 03:38:40 UTC

it cannot be argued that sola fide or sola scriptura, or martin luther's complains are valid at all

2019-08-15 03:38:47 UTC

there is no base

2019-08-15 03:39:15 UTC

and you cannot defend sola scriptura with the bible, which is all kinds of ironic

2019-08-15 03:39:54 UTC

I already posted it but the Bible says Faith alone is not justification enough. So Sola Scriptura and Sola Fide are contradictory.

2019-08-15 03:40:09 UTC

Faith and works sets works as the root rather than the fruit, it's a valid concern when monastics had gone from men trusting God to send them work to men believing their work was their salvation rather than Christ.
