Protestants who try to jab at the Catholic Church for "Selling indulgences" don't realize indulgences were never sold.

There was no outright selling of indulgences. To give money to God or to the poor is a praiseworthy act, and, when it is done from right motives, it will surely not go unrewarded.”

Svenpai got it right, never go to a Church that is not of your theology, no matter how close to each other they may be. Only go if you want to convert.

I grew up reformed Baptist, it's not too bad if you find a good pastor. Problem is most good Baptist pastors are dead or dying, and being replaced with gen-X boomers trying to make everywhere Hillsong.
