calvinism?
<:ohyou2:569616856105877505>
i do as much as i can reasonably get away with
I would argue that victimhood will lead to the downfall of jews
then compare that victimhood to blacks
yes calvinists are based imo
much more fundamental that other denoms
to the extent that you can find fundamentalists outside of an Amish community
I looked it up and some of its tenets are wrong
not really that based imo
if jews were going to have a downfall, wouldnt they have been gone by now, after being kicked out and persecuted so many times?
for example, that of Irresistable Grace.
I think the only time I've seen "Based" and "Calvinists" in the same sentence is when I once said "I would like to see Calvinists based at the foot of the Gallows."
Jews prove that even if God chooses someone, they can still turn away
Calvinists reject free will if they accept such tenets
they pretty much do reject free will
Not based. Humans do have free will
Free will is also why we have sin
Since humans at a given moment can choose to do wrong or right
Jews certainly chose after being gifted commandments from God himself
your choices are God's will
And if that was the case, God would've chosen the people of Sodom to stop sinning so he wouldn't have to destroy the,
*them
But he gave them the choice
even said to them "Hey, if you can find 1 person who isn't a total faggot, I won't clap your village"
hmmm
here ill link a vid in <#567704060015280138>
"the human will is in bondage to sin, and the only one who can change that is God the Holy Spirit" - a calvinist
"sin is a product of our choices, and we are only as bound to sin as we choose to be" -most other Christians
a calvinist: the idea the humans are in bondage, in chains, to a sinful will, is biblical
the word sin is said to derive from Greek
in terms of archery, it means to miss your mark
in the context of christianity its to miss the path of God
I think both are true. Even when we choose, we only can lead towards good by God's action
Calvinists essentially say "you don't control the road you walk on"
even though every step we take (or in this case, every actions, according to this metaphor) leads in a certain direction
only God can set you straight. you cant do it out of your own free will
Free will means to *choose* God's will over your own
What you're saying is "You don't have free will until you choose God"
that's an illogical statement
>you cant do it out of your own free will
Good way to pavlov yourself into inaction and sloth.
