Massive problem guys. So friend I worked for, before I had my own business has passed away 3 days ago. He had no surviving family and his lawyer sent me a letter with a deed of transfer. He willed me his motel... i don't want it. I wanted out of Nevraska and now I'm stuck with this. Fucking damn it.

I don't have any money to cover this place for any longer then 3 months and I wasnt expecting it. If I knew ahead of time by at least 6 months I could handle it fine. Such horrible timing.

I asked the manager if he wanted ownership. Shot that shit down super fast so there is a problem I don't know about.

Told all staff they have 2 months to find a new job. I'm locking it up till it's bought.

My mom was pretty understanding and caring

So I cant give the place away or sell it for cheaper then it's estimated value because that looks suspicious and nobody will buy it. I don't have the money to see it through tax season without hurting my business so I have to get an adjuster and property evaluator and put it up soon. If it wont sell, going to demolish the building and turn it into a vendor lot. Aka food truck parking and wipe my hands of it.
