2019-08-17 21:34:47 UTC

which is subjective

2019-08-17 21:34:50 UTC

either way lol

2019-08-17 21:35:11 UTC

some judgements *can be* objective

2019-08-17 21:35:15 UTC

Right

2019-08-17 21:35:32 UTC

Regardless, my case works in the case of 'reasoning'

2019-08-17 21:35:45 UTC

many people would come to the conclusion that not all religious people are brainwashed

2019-08-17 21:35:51 UTC

therefore it is not objective

2019-08-17 21:36:07 UTC

1 + 1 = 2 is subjective, opinion is not relevant

2019-08-17 21:36:09 UTC

for example

2019-08-17 21:36:24 UTC

Depends on what the terms can be extrapolated to mean

2019-08-17 21:36:26 UTC

so, it is an opinion of individuals that religious people are brainwashed

2019-08-17 21:36:38 UTC

not an objective fact

2019-08-17 21:36:58 UTC

in order for that to be objective, you'd need to disprove the existence of a creator without a reasonable doubt

2019-08-17 21:37:20 UTC

misguided is, in my opinion, a more appropriate word

2019-08-17 21:38:15 UTC

Yes but to the extent towards the right facts are deployed it can be stated that those who are worshipping gods are making an error of judgement as they believe that there is fact showcasing the existence of god when there isn't fact to show that this fact is linked to the existence of god.

2019-08-17 21:38:18 UTC

And no

2019-08-17 21:38:23 UTC

That's not how the burden of proof works

2019-08-17 21:38:46 UTC

neither side can prove or disprove

2019-08-17 21:38:55 UTC

Which is why I never claim god doesn't exist

2019-08-17 21:38:59 UTC

there really is no possibility of a burden of proof

2019-08-17 21:39:13 UTC

you're entitled to your opinion 😉

2019-08-17 21:39:24 UTC

Why so?

2019-08-17 21:40:00 UTC

because neither side has the ability to prove their side or disprove the other side

2019-08-17 21:40:09 UTC

Why do they lack this ability?

2019-08-17 21:40:12 UTC

it's not a worthwhile argument to have

2019-08-17 21:40:19 UTC

What makes it not worthwhile?

2019-08-17 21:40:20 UTC

I claim it is misguided; 'an error of judgement' to assume that there are facts pointing towards the objective existence of god, worshipping is an act derived from belief in the conditioned existence of god, I question why people should be conditioned to such a belief?

2019-08-17 21:40:24 UTC

prove to me that God doesn't exist

2019-08-17 21:40:33 UTC

you can't, just like I can't prove that He does

2019-08-17 21:40:35 UTC

I can't because I lack the evidence

2019-08-17 21:40:40 UTC

not because I lack the ability

2019-08-17 21:40:47 UTC

I have the tools to do so

2019-08-17 21:41:00 UTC

no evidence = no ability to disprove

2019-08-17 21:41:15 UTC

In the same way you can't disprove the tooth fairy, but I suppose this is another opinion.

2019-08-17 21:41:19 UTC

do you, though? Nobody has disproven the existence of God

2019-08-17 21:41:47 UTC

You might

2019-08-17 21:41:50 UTC

you might not

2019-08-17 21:41:52 UTC

🤷

2019-08-17 21:42:05 UTC

Well they have disproved the Abrahamic god's capacity for all-power, all-knowledge, all-mercy

2019-08-17 21:42:31 UTC

with respect, that's word salad lol

2019-08-17 21:42:36 UTC

I assume you're familiar with the 'god can't create a rock that he can't move'
