@Hiruzen Btw, gotta occasionally stir the things being cooked in that machine as well, otherwise the things on the "outside" will be burnt and the things that are covered will be soggy.

2019-01-18 17:43:14 UTC

and in germany you'd have about 55k after taxes

2019-01-18 17:43:18 UTC

I gave it to my parents, actually

2019-01-18 17:43:24 UTC

since I already own a deep fryer

2019-01-18 17:43:31 UTC

Yes German taxation sucks hard

2019-01-18 17:43:56 UTC

trooo

2019-01-18 17:44:37 UTC

My brother makes 3k € / month in Germany and after taxes he has about 1.8k left

2019-01-18 17:44:58 UTC

2019-01-18 17:45:04 UTC

Huuuuh

2019-01-18 17:45:08 UTC

But iirc health insurance is already included

2019-01-18 17:45:21 UTC

Germany is a communist dystopia

2019-01-18 17:45:41 UTC

I wonder how my investments would look like in 5 years

2019-01-18 17:45:42 UTC

you'd probably make 56k here (median)

As a senior embedded software engineer? I was offered more in Munich but I don't know how Munich compares to other places

2019-01-18 17:46:21 UTC

health insurance not included in swissland?

2019-01-18 17:46:24 UTC

I was offered 65k €

2019-01-18 17:46:33 UTC

munich is more expensive, so yes

2019-01-18 17:46:52 UTC

No @spaqin, you have to pay it yourself but that's good because you can choose how much you want to cover

2019-01-18 17:47:01 UTC

yeah ik

2019-01-18 17:47:06 UTC

Mine only covers illness that costs me more than 2k

2019-01-18 17:47:08 UTC

have you tried applying to chinkaporean companies

2019-01-18 17:47:11 UTC

we're paying it whether we want it or not

2019-01-18 17:47:18 UTC

Everything below 2k I have to pay by myself

2019-01-18 17:47:19 UTC

and i feel like if i do get sick, i only deserve death

2019-01-18 17:47:24 UTC

im not gonna bother any doctors

2019-01-18 17:47:26 UTC

yet, i need to pay

2019-01-18 17:47:30 UTC

@porco german health insurance is next level, though.

2019-01-18 17:47:39 UTC

Like if I have the flu, going to the doctor and getting medication is about 200 CHF

2019-01-18 17:47:44 UTC

they are willing to pay reasonably high salaries to senior developers

2019-01-18 17:47:47 UTC

iirc

2019-01-18 17:48:26 UTC

they'll work you to death though

2019-01-18 17:48:30 UTC

You are in a system and have little choice but it covers a lot, even cancer!
Cold medicine is not covered by any insurance, you'd pay about 60 € for a week's supply

2019-01-18 17:48:40 UTC

No it's not, when my mother was sick I took her to Switzerland because all doctors she visited in Germany sucked. In Germany she was sick with no diagnose for 3 months but didn't have to pay the doctors, here, treatment was about 12 k but she had all sorted out after about 2 weeks

2019-01-18 17:48:46 UTC

can't you get generics?

2019-01-18 17:49:10 UTC
2019-01-18 17:49:17 UTC

what kind of cold medicine costs 60 eur per week

2019-01-18 17:49:23 UTC

One that's sponsored a lot

2019-01-18 17:49:32 UTC

German health insurance is, you get what you pay for (you pay nothing)
