I do know that they've been using akamai to deliver images, though
Akamai is extremely great. They manage to reliably offer a 24/7 output of 10 gbit and below 15 ms latency to the entire world, they're bigger than CloudFlare from a CDN point of view
But extremely expensive
The one case where price = quality
I've used Akamai on a few projects already, never had a hosting bill below 10k on these projects
