So we do open lessons after every 2 months to let parents in and show off what they've learned and show student parent relationship
But I'm just covering this class since they are sick, they aren't my class
So I have no idea what they know and they don't know me at all
I explain this to them..
How it would be a disaster and waste of time..and I ask "are we interested in quality?"
"wow, good point...I didn't think of this at all"
Wtf how could you not of thought of this, basic fucking common sense
I don't say that, but I think it.
I cut the severity and ask if the sick teacher needs American medicine , since I know local medicine sometimes isn't effective
"wow you're so nice"
I think they're just bullshitting
so you're telling me being a teacher blows in every country
Nah, I have friends who teach in Japan
We exhcange stories
And they don't go through any bullshit
Just smart people all around
are they foreigners ?
2 are, 1 isn't
I think the people here do some ass kissing to foreigners
Sometimes
Also I bought coffee from Starbucks today (only because it's only coffee place within 1km of my work ) and they are like "wow so rich.."
They were half joking though but still
There is delicious coffee available everywhere in Taiwan it was awesome
In mainland not so much, and when you find it it's all Starbucks prices
My fiancee and I asked 2 local coffeeshop owners why they own it and they say "well my husband pays all the bills, and he asked me what I want to own to keep me busy...so I said coffeeshop. But I don't like coffee..."
2 different shops more or less gave the same answer haha
No one is ever inside the shops. Chinks don't like coffee, really. Starbucks always has people inside ..but not many are drinking coffee .
There is no point to drink Starbucks unless you can tell people you are drinking Starbucks or sit inside and feel important
Coffee shops don't even open until 10am usually
It's confusing haha. The "grab a coffee and go to work" culture doesn't exist here
>I love coffee
>get a chocolate mocha latte with extra cream and sugar and whipped cream on top
<:chink:323022148870602752>
do chinese write screenplays and novels inside starbucks as well
North American coffee is pretty silly ngl
"Here's ur XXL Pumpkin Spice Frappucino c;"
"How much coffee it got"
"Oh we put in 1 shot of espresso for flavor basically"
tfw too poor for a buying coffee in cafes so i have to make black coffee myself in a moka pot
Well at least you're not using instant coffee
Or Nescafe sweet n creamy
