China has always been know in esports to be a terrible country to organize a big international event

2017-11-17 14:51:36 UTC

Now it turns out Victorias Secret cant even make it proper and flawlessly

2017-11-17 14:51:40 UTC

why is that?

2017-11-17 15:06:03 UTC

I blame communism

2017-11-17 15:13:54 UTC

All hong kong people like the british colonisation but weirdly enough they all know they're chinese at heart

2017-11-17 15:14:11 UTC

They just dont want to be associated with china

2017-11-17 15:43:13 UTC

2017-11-17 16:59:20 UTC

2017-11-19 02:19:07 UTC

china is not a nice place unless you are an expat for some global company

2017-11-19 02:22:13 UTC

or have money

2017-11-19 02:23:03 UTC

generally everywhere is better with money

2017-11-19 03:33:37 UTC

The rich Chinese tell me China is not that much better with loads of money

2017-11-19 03:56:45 UTC

everything is done in such a bullshit way, that no amount of money can solve

2017-11-19 06:27:11 UTC

I honestly can't believe people, even the nongren dumbfucks think beijing is the surpreme city to live in given such pollution

2017-11-19 06:28:09 UTC

chongqing likewise although it's pollution as bad, but SW mainlanders i've met are dumbfucks to the nth degree

2017-11-19 10:16:42 UTC

the good parts of Asia seem to be Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. And all have a certain trade off.

Hong Kong has Cantonese
Singapore has weird laws
Taiwan has impossible immigration policies

2017-11-19 10:28:35 UTC

those places have higher percentage of people that can speak english

2017-11-19 10:29:15 UTC

really the least you could ask is taxi drivers know some english

2017-11-19 10:31:29 UTC

>be a foreigner
>get targeted

2017-11-19 15:29:59 UTC

Taiwanese taxi drivers don't speak English often

2017-11-19 15:30:09 UTC

there isn't much tourism in Taiwan anyway

2017-11-19 15:30:41 UTC

Mandarin isn't hard to learn anyway

2017-11-19 15:31:09 UTC

But moving to Hong-Kong kinda forces you to go through the Cantonese language clusterfuck

2017-11-19 17:12:50 UTC

So much English in Hong Kong

2017-11-19 20:03:26 UTC

a cousin of mine lives in Hong Kong with his Italian wife. He works for a global company and everyone in his world speaks English. His wife is depressed because in her world (grocery store, dude that came to fix the AC, bus drivers etc) no-one speaks English

2017-11-19 20:12:20 UTC

lrn2cantonese faggot

2017-11-19 20:12:49 UTC

but i'm not surprised that the business world can speak english while ordinary people cannot

2017-11-19 22:58:05 UTC

most people in HK speak some sort of broken english

2017-11-19 22:58:38 UTC

if you're on hong Kong island basically everyone does

2017-11-20 01:58:21 UTC
