They're slightly not so pocketable radios

GSM is a little too fragile in case of emergency imho

Although you might have a GSM connection nearby, if you don't get a full pass-through to your provider's endpoint, it's unusable

as long as it's set up correctly you should be picking up at least one long range frequency from a backup tower

i don't have line on my PC or discord on my phone so

on the other hand, everyone can listen to radio as long as they are nearby
