Also I highly doubt US would want to start WW3 by with intervention in case of a Taiwan conflict
If the US doesn't defend Taiwan, it will be a 25 min invasion and the world will remain stable, if the US defends Taiwan it will be WW3
All ideology aside, from a diplomatic point of view, it would make no sense
all defense treaties between Taiwan and the US are invalid as of right now anyway
Its a no win proposition on both sides as china could easily win militarily but get rekt economically as the US would have to impose sanctions to save face if they dont defend it

If it's starting to look like Mainland will invade Taiwan, the Taiwanese will suddenly get loads of weapons, build an in-depth defense and coincidental accidences start happening that hamper the chiense supplyline and landing force
even if every civilian gets a weapon, the Chinese military will still outnumber any Taiwanese defense force
Depends on the situation on the ground, military will might be there but if civilian will isnt they are going to be another WWII france

Exactly. With the amount MRBM in range the Chinese can turn all landing strips in Taiwan into craters anyway. Meaning they would have little problems in the air and can use most planes in a strike role to support a landing
