yep there's too many chinks here
Reminds me of a story
>Chinese teacher invites class and +1s on a Saturday to drink tea
>bring gf
>Chinese teacher has a super fancy tea pot with a built in heating plate
>gf asks teacher where she got it from
>teacher tells her she got it online and she could give her the link another day
>gf says thanks
>teacher says "no problem. Chinese must help each other"
>both silent, looking at each others soulless eyes for some seconds
>gf says "I'm not Chinese"
>they start fighting in Mandarin
>goes on for about two minutes in front of all students
>decide to interject for a moment
>ask "how do you say popcorn in Chinese"
>they stop arguing
>they don't even say hello to each other anymore
>gf asked me to find a new Chinese teacher after passing B2 equivalent

Chinese are taught at a very young age to literally fight anyone who says anything even a little negative China
If you say Taiwan isn't China they literally start to weep
It's the saddest most insecure thing I've ever seen
nice
Trained from birth to be babies
I'll save that knowledge for later
Want to piss off a Chinese ? Say "I like Taiwan/Hong Kong more than China"
They will break down in tears or put their fists up
If you're a teacher they will report you to the uni
You can say literally anything to a mainlander like stinky chinky fuck face and it's fine
But if you ever say something isn't theirs
They will break
LOL
China Chinese*
Yes, sorry I meant "mainland Chinese"
There is a big difference
Another thing is to speak simplified Chinese in Taiwan and non-Cantonese in HK
Will that make people think youre retarded
No it will piss them off
Sometimes
speak simplified chinese?
if you mean write, it's not really a big deal, some people here use a few simplified characters when hand-writing notes
it's just quicker
for anything formal though it'd be weird if you're not a mainlander but understandable since that's what's being taught around the world
Good mate of mine is Taiwanese/Korean
He decided to take the Chinese course in year 9 to brush up on his skills
New teacher asked him his nationality
She's Chinese
He said he was Taiwanese and she flipped her fucking lid at him
So he decided not to bother with that class, got out, and he took History (elective) instead
Jesus even grade 9 teachers are insecure
I go out of my way to do it these days
I even have a "I love Taiwan" sticker on my phone case
