I really don't understand the meme, tea can contain a lot of crap. I was pointing out that the properties that he listed aren't usual for the tea type as far as I could find out

2018-02-27 10:05:03 UTC

chai is just a generic word for tea in a lot of languages. earl grey is black tea + spices. jasmin is green tea + spices. doesnt have much to do with the processing of the tea plant itself.
And yes you were right, white tea is young tea leaves but that doesnt contradict any of what I said about it?

2018-02-27 11:20:54 UTC

Chai usually refers to Indian style chai (black tea and spices). Your sentence just made it look like its a requirement for white tea to be picked by monks

2018-02-27 11:48:21 UTC

Chai is usually shitty coffee here though <:thonkang:327933449597878312>

2018-02-27 11:49:47 UTC

I was only aware of this one

2018-02-27 12:03:16 UTC

Oh, chai latte is tea here too.

2018-02-27 12:03:54 UTC

I just thought it to be coffee, because i've only seen it in starbucks cups so far..

2018-02-27 12:06:08 UTC

@porco yes masala chai is spiced tea, but the term chai just means tea

2018-02-27 12:06:41 UTC

i just wanted to state how fancy my tea was :^)

2018-02-27 12:06:45 UTC

chink hand labour

2018-02-27 12:07:12 UTC

i didnt like it though. taiwanese milky oolong is the best tea by far

2018-02-27 12:10:52 UTC

Pei Mu Tan?

2018-02-27 12:11:45 UTC

Or actually some Yinzehn shit?

2018-02-27 12:15:23 UTC

Taiwanese oolong is nice, but without milk

2018-02-27 12:15:49 UTC

gf makes it by herself because the milk tea from the Chinese shops is different than the milk tea that you can obtain in Taiwan

2018-02-27 12:16:26 UTC

she gets Oolong from "Tee Gschwendner" in Germany because they have a Taiwanese one and then she mixes it with milk powder

2018-02-27 12:23:43 UTC

Is it good?

2018-02-27 12:24:26 UTC

Out of the three tea shops here, Gschwendner is mostly seen as second best, so i only went there once to look in..

2018-02-27 12:32:13 UTC

i dont like the gschwendner oolong, well I had the sumatra oolong not long ago, its good

2018-02-27 12:32:16 UTC

but not milky

2018-02-27 12:32:27 UTC

and milky oolong with milk powder is kind of fraud

2018-02-27 12:32:29 UTC

<:thenk:329322130804047872>

2018-02-27 12:32:36 UTC

the real deal is without milk powder

2018-02-27 12:33:09 UTC

@Sdeck37 Jin Xuan is my favourite

2018-02-27 12:33:20 UTC

not too expensive and very pleasant for everyday tea

2018-02-27 12:33:47 UTC
2018-02-27 12:36:34 UTC

Sounds good

2018-02-27 12:36:44 UTC

I'm currently on something called white rose

2018-02-27 12:37:03 UTC

Which should be between Mu Tan and yinzehn

2018-02-27 12:37:10 UTC

It's pretty comfy for learning

2018-02-27 12:38:46 UTC

sighhh

2018-02-27 12:41:14 UTC

?

2018-02-27 12:41:49 UTC

Thst was a joke, normal tea is probably fine herbal shit is what I'd be worried about.

2018-02-27 12:43:42 UTC

The thing of Gschwendner is that they only have kinds of tea that they can obtain in big masses since they want to keep their offer consistant all over Germany

2018-02-27 12:43:57 UTC

you won't find something obscure there

2018-02-27 12:44:46 UTC

there is this tea + coffee field in Taiwan that has a very unique oolong but they don't export it. We have a box full of it.

2018-02-27 12:47:12 UTC

Basically there's some kind of worm that feeds on the tea leaves and it's saliva is sweet. This gives the tea a very special, slightly sweet flavour

2018-02-27 12:47:28 UTC

According to them, this kind of worm is exclusive to Taiwan
