well obviously she had something much worse going

I'm sure your stomach doesn't fail like that just from food poisoning

Food safety in China isn't that good from what I hear, but even here in Canada I've managed to get sick just by eating at the wrong restaurant.

Again, you can get food poisoning from anywhere
