was about to say, that's quite out of the norm
you know these typical rooms with curtains?
the ones i've been to are just like
you're out in the open
otherwise they're private chiropractors
I see, the ones we were was a big room with a lot of curtains, my girlfriend was on a massage bed behind the curtain. Now, I assume the girl didn't know that when she offered that extra-service
once she asked me if I want a handjob for an extra 1000 NT$, she jumped out of the bed, put apart the courtain and started shouting at the girl
hah.
the girl got defensive, now my Chinese skill is not 💯 but I think she said something like "my job is to make people relaxed. That's all I was offering"
then she ran downstairs to the manager and the manager started shouting at the girl, too
that was the first time that I saw Taiwanese people getting angry
usually you're all so calm
my personal assumption is, that she was just looking for a way to pimp her pocket money
i can understand, it's quite the scandal and embarrassment for the establishment
that aside, though, that situation's quite amusing.
it was funny
i would have been laughing the entire time
at some point I said "to be fair if my girlfriend wasn't here I would have just said yes" and then both started shouting at me. The girl was telling me that I'm a pig for saying that and my girlfriend was shouting that it's not funny
I just wanted to lift the mood...
let me see if I find the place on Google maps
Dog bless Google Timeline for tracking every step I make

sometimes Google is a little spooky
what fucks me up is when google parses my emails and marks on the map where im going to be
1000 TWD seems like a lot for just a handie
maybe she didn't find me attractive
she was hot af tho
Also I think she wasn't Taiwanese because she was speaking pirate Chinese
bootleg chinese
Northern accented Mandarin is like chink counterpart of redneck accent in terms of how it sounds
to me anyway
part of the reason why I'm lazy about learning Mandarin is because of most resources having that Beijing accent
Just find a resource that has an American southern accent
On the other end of the spectrum, you have strong Cantonese (although not all Cantonese ppl speak it like this) accented Mandarin where the sh/ch/zh is just s/c/z and it's hard to understand what they're saying
Taiwanese manage to get it just right
doesn't sound like northerns who sound like they are chewing when they're talking
Cantonese sounds better to me tbh
I've noticed a lot of Cantonese people manage to speak pretty similarly to Taiwanese people anyhow
If their accent isn't too strong
