the first catholic one i went to, i called to talk to the priest about a few things and it took him four weeks to get back to me so I just kinda thought "ehhh fuck em"

the orthodox fathers seem to respond to emails and phone calls that day

I have similar issues with the orthodox

like, why have dogma that doesn't really matter much and is rather inconsequential to the teachings of scripture

then, of course, you see what happens when that logic is taken all the way with the protestants and you realize "oh these guys are fucking idiots"

so it's this crappy no mans land

where, I get the purpose of most rites, some dogma, and the scripture

idk what denomination to go with teebeehaich

but then the churches just decide to all fuck up in one way or another

at this point, the sweet spot has been "go to the presbyterian church that has the best theological scripture teachings in their sermons, and then leave early service to go to orthodox liturgy"

but, it's not in one solid community so it feels detached still
