When I tried using a can opener

I got it open

After 20 minutes

Made some mean pasta afterwards tho

no one ever taught me shit so i just google everything i should know by know

At first I thought I was using the wrong side

But I wasnt

Ao I then used the wrong side for 5 minutes and then making no progress tried prying it open with the sharp tip

Which then I lost my grip and cut my finger

The funny part was the can I open was really shitty tomato paste, it wasnt pureed so I didn't even use it

I was raised almost exclusively on burned precooked frozen meals so i feel your pain king

I took home ec in hs because it wasn't called that

It was just cooking 'international' and 'creative'

I tried to take all of the skills building classes to make it worth my time. They capped you on how many years could take metal & wood shop

Plus it was easy, there were girls, and we would get to make food and eat it in school

Home ec was pointless

They didn't teach any of the ec part

No balancing checkbook or taxes

It was just fucking with food

They dont teach anything important

Well, my knifework is serious

I did work in the food industry a bit

But the best part of it was learning how to cook for yourself

I know how to do taxes.

You just toss everything you get in the trash, and ignore it for yet another year.
