yeah, its kind of confusing. so the normal work hours are technically 9-5 around there

but employers dont value quality work

they value quantity

so to get ahead, people wont do shit all morning

then eat a massive lunch, take a nap

and then have to stay late a few hours to catch up

so people work long hours because it looks better

but the work itself is subpar

same here in pollackland, in govt sector at least

but they dont wanna you workin more than 8h cuz theyd have to pay for it

and chinese hate being home and being with their families so they love to be outside

ah they dont pay overtime in china usually

just a base salary plus end of year bonus

the average chinese man has a wife and child that he never sees

usually they live in another city and visit them only once a year or twice maybe

why even bother then

to look good

makes their family happy

makes their mom shutup

most married people dont like each other

they do it to stop the nagging

and chinese dont have passions or hobbies, so they just do whatever makes the nagging stop
