that's probably something to do with my formal choice of words as well
they speak very formal in talk shows
Ye RTHK does since it's mainland china channel
TVB is more hong kong
isn't it the other way round, I heard?
HKers are telling me TVB is puppet CCTV nowadays
TVB is where most the hong kong shit is broadcast
Probably
but RTHK is not natively hong kong, atleast it don't feel like it
it's state owned iirc
by HK gov
so probably has chink influence
You mean by China?

that's one way to look at it
@plasticsword inb4 this is wat cantonese kids speak like in 50 years https://clyp.it/c0de2oc1
and yes im bored sigh
that just sounds like ching chong
it's written chinese lol
aka mandarin
didn't siu pang yau (kid) come from mandarin
i think sai lou zai is more cantonese
複雑な言語
@plasticsword just for bants
I didnt understand a word of that
:^)
<:thinkjojo:333980344044879872>
real chink hrs
I never really studied chinese tbh
i studied both mandarin and HK style cantonese lol
Same
I only know weaboo chinese
<:turt:443131018950606878>
since the dialect of cantonese i spoke at home is pretty obscure
wasnt that hard
@plasticsword how was getting by in china without studying chinese
i think the mandarin i studied pretty much made my trip in taiwan a much different experience that it would have been
most ppl there are pretty terrible at english except like 25% of younger people
and even then, theyre often too shy to speak it
