but i have to use minoxidil to get any eyebrows or beard

2019-04-07 18:29:58 UTC

I got Donkey Kong Country for GBA today

2019-04-07 18:31:01 UTC

based

2019-04-07 18:31:14 UTC

does it look like the SNES one or do they upgrade the graphics

2019-04-07 18:33:53 UTC

hmm by the looks of this video its worse and the music isn't as good either

2019-04-07 18:34:02 UTC

although the GBA isn't that fancy of a console

2019-04-07 18:34:50 UTC

my 1st gen DS plays GBA games, i'm working my way through minish cap zelda now

2019-04-07 18:35:02 UTC

last time i left off at this ice palace entrance i think

2019-04-07 18:35:43 UTC

i spent 80% of the time last time figuring out where i left off

2019-04-07 18:35:54 UTC

since i hadn't touched it since about 2014

2019-04-07 18:36:24 UTC

"temple of droplets"

2019-04-07 18:37:24 UTC

if i spent as much time playing as i did watching youtube i'd be done with most games by now

2019-04-07 18:38:31 UTC

I played the GBC DKC and that is a million times worse so honestly I'm glad I can play DKC handheld on a remotely decent system

2019-04-07 18:39:01 UTC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KGZna12gR4 it has a charm at least in the audio department but the graphics are shite

2019-04-07 18:39:07 UTC

i had that one

2019-04-07 18:39:45 UTC

i have the original banana yellow gameboy cart

2019-04-07 18:40:00 UTC

i had dkc and dkl on gbc

2019-04-07 18:40:22 UTC

it looks like shit compared to the SNES version but you can't expect much, i mean the original gameboy was even worse than the NES on capabilities

2019-04-07 18:41:42 UTC

the color version looks fantastic

2019-04-07 18:41:51 UTC

the B&W original is really bad

2019-04-07 18:42:11 UTC

but if you were living in that time it was super cool

2019-04-07 18:42:15 UTC

i really don't like how everything bleeds into eachother but that's a hardware thing

2019-04-07 18:42:30 UTC

I had a game gear also, and it was fun, but the backlight drained the batteries in 3-4 hours

2019-04-07 18:42:38 UTC

SIX AA batteries

2019-04-07 18:43:27 UTC

Doom on my little 486 computer was great, but not portable

2019-04-07 18:43:38 UTC

gameboy could go with you anywhere

2019-04-07 18:43:43 UTC

Lunar on GBA is also technically impressive but that game is ass and the PSX/PSP versions are better by a long shot

2019-04-07 18:43:54 UTC

only took 4 AA batteries and lasted all day

2019-04-07 18:44:24 UTC

also in 1995 there were no smartphones and laptops were expensive kids didn't have them

2019-04-07 18:44:39 UTC

for all purposes cellular phones didn't really exist either

2019-04-07 18:53:20 UTC

wonder if i can buy a replacement battery for the DS when it's time

2019-04-07 18:53:32 UTC

well over 10 years old it has to start going eventually

2019-04-07 18:54:18 UTC

I have a GBA battery that I got a few years ago

2019-04-07 18:54:44 UTC

genuine nintendo batteries are probably not being made but i never buy genuine anyway

2019-04-07 18:55:41 UTC

I wish Nintendo would reissue some things or even take custome orders. I would love a new Wavebird that wasn't secondhand. Hell people play Smash and use GC controllers they could justifiably reissue wavebirds

2019-04-07 18:57:33 UTC

$6 on ebay
