Networks realized that everyone just recorded shows so every network became 24/7 rereruns of their fotm stoner show and anything good on at ungodly hours

Yeah and all the 'classic programming' is either shelved and edited/buried on upper cable channels between commercials for canes and sit down showers

There used to be thing called 'blocks' of TV

And they had their own special bumpers and everything.
