this was actually a temp job that found me
Im fortunate that Im so cheap that I could live 18 months on my Emergency Fund rn
I’m a photographer
Thinking about getting a real job tho
i still own my RV so that is the escape plan
because the rent here is 1300 plus utilities
gig economy is a real shit
Bad?
yuck, Im fortunate that I live downtown for less than a grand
yes
I’m doing okay
I book a year out
thats good
at least you got work
in kansas i was living on less than 500 a month for the condo
but kansas sucks dick
I prolly could live like that in wisco if I bit the bullet and bought a condo, but I dont want to be tied down here
i did the math and i'll be clearing almost 4000 a month after taxes and shit
so i'll be saving every penny assuming i'll get fucked eventually
at least if i work for a few months i'll be able to apply for unemployment in texas
last time i was on unemployment i got 435 a week iirc
Leeroy Jenkems 2020
The winning move is to live on as little as possible whilst stack
living in the RV wouldn't work in kansas since it got cold and i'm not sure my "arctic package" would save the plumbing system
but here it would work fine
and most RV parks are 300 bucks a month
i hate to perpetuate the "poor are only poor because they suck at money" its buts mostly true usually
and come with shit like cable and internet
nice
only downside is you've living in a 22 foot long trailer with no slideouts
Public school system does shit tier job at explaining money
so i'd have to dump all my shit in climate controlled storage
The way so many kids blame all problems on "capitalism" and think there are hard lines between business owners and labor force
I think it just comes down to human's greatest weakness. Impulse control
^
how many times have you heard a story about "drunk buying on amazon"
Instant gratification is the enemy of personal growth
Ive done a lot of bad stuff drunk in my life, drove, sworn at people, punched people in the face, but never have I spent money on a whim
I stacked for 6 months, taking bus to and from a shit job for long hours on my feet, to get a car on the road
