Probably for some chemical or paint they have to put on the tower. Those suits don’t block any more radiation than regular clothes, they just make sure radioactive or toxic material doesn’t get on or in you
That's a hazmat suit, and I'm with @amlam, he's either painting (***ALL*** non-waterbased paints are considered toxic chemicals) or cleaning (bird shit really ***IS*** a toxic chemical).
If he’s worried about some sort of electromagnetic radiation frying his nutsack then a few layers of vinyl aren’t gonna do shit. The shielding for that would be a slab of lead
I've worked as a transmit operator on live RF test ranges with the transmit antennas right next to me. I've never worn a suit like that.
If there were a danger, they would just shut down the tower temporarily.
not wear a ridiculous suit.
Also, our tests ran from a few hundred megahertz to 20 gigs.
So, we definitely covered the ranges people are so afraid of.
Are you saying this guy doesn't understand OSHA standards or the concept of LOTO? 🤔
RF does pretty much nothing from a radiation standpoint. You get a higher dose from a plane ride than you would standing next to one of these antennae
Electromagnetic radiation really doesn’t do anything to humans because we aren’t magnetic. Lol
Tell that to magneto
Lol
Also, HAZMAT suits are not the same thing as RADIATION suits, and radiation suits generally do their job by preventing radioactive particles from getting on or in a human body. They do not block EM, and they don't even block all radiation. They just prevent you from getting plutonium into a pore or a body cavity, which can make you radioactive for life.
Humans are already radioactive
All biological life is radioactive
How else do you think carbon dating works
I think he means beyond the normal amount. I'm 90% water but I'm not going to live at the bottom of a lake
...yet
certainly not "live", but you can stay at the bottom of the lake, lol
Still no solution for keeping ocean life from growing on your habitat.
Be prepared to scrub your entire habitat on the outside as if it were a filthy driveway once a month.
🤣
Also, trust me, you do not want to live inside a submersible habitat in fresh-water.
The mold will turn you into a corpse
At least the salt content of seawater keeps that shit in check some.
@Jeremy-Retard
I honestly wouldn't know, but it does occur to me that every underwater habitat I've ever heard of was in salt water.
That might be a reflection of tourism dollars, however.
The Facebook caption was not all hero’s wear capes
Hah
Which one was supposed to be the hero? The first case of "Call me sir again and I'll show you a sir!"?
Not very lady like
The trans lady was the hero for threading him until he called them by his proper noun
"It treats me like I am a lady or it get's punched again!"
Ah yeah, convincing someone that you are a lady by acting like a man.
