So long as 5 clean women are sleeping with only one man the chance of an STD spreading is the same as one clean woman sleeping with one man.

I would say for society it would be better for 10 children to have the presence of a father split between them, than it would be for 3 children to have the presence of a father all the time, and 7 that have no presence.

Your argument could be against having multiple children as well.

Just because you have multiple children or wives doesn't mean that you can't properly care for all of them, assuming you have the resources.
