I think China's goal in Africa, and everywhere else they are involved, is to use those countries for what we use China for.

I think it is to apply economic pressure to get these countries to support China on a global scale and to build up a network of traderoutes completely under chinese control

China isnt just interested in Africa they are trying it in Europe too. For example Greece got a giant investment from China, and when the EU wanted to condem Chinas for its human rights abuses greece blocked that

When they get control over a small number of countries around the world they can do what they want and no international organization will be able to speak out about it, as long as one of the organizations members is under chinese influence

Im not a fan of these supergovernmental structures but at the moment they are the structures used to keep China under control
