Yeah the University I went to the year after I left started to make the professor state their preferred pronouns at the beginning of their course

Keep in mind it was a business school too, and the faculty I had a lot of connections with were in the STEM department

Professors are not made to do that at my grad school. But I’m in the physics department so luckily a lot of that bullshit hasn’t seeped in yet

Most of the companies in the tech hubs have benefits like free meals just so they can keep the people there, because free meals is cheaper than getting paid more. Also 60hrs+ is common

Yup. The workplaces will generally be quite nice but there's a culture of crunch work that is slowly being chipped away. And then there's the pay and competition for jobs on top of that
