subdued the countryside
in order to stop it would require a civil war to kill the government
that didn't happen
So which one(s) didn't? Where did people fight back and win?
kulaks were purged
Chechnya?
dont know enough about that as it is more recent and less communist
Ok, so what's a good example?
take south american states or spain
big spanish civil war
take germany also
prevent communist takeover by fighting them off while you still have time
history calls you the bad guy
Does history think ill of Nazis because they fought Communists, or because they tried to create a European empire under German rule?
yes
Because the latter was a dick move.
the answer is yes
when you ask an or question and either is true, the answer is yes
So, I'll ask again, what is this mysterious power that allows Communism to manage to always successfully frame its opponents as evil?
How does that work?
I'd guess that there is a population of people that want communism to win large enough that any story is good enough
But why does that become the Narrative?
because there are so many communists?
Why can't the other side do the same thing? Are there simply more of them?
this gets into the study of late stage civilizations
the internal and external proletariat
Hmm. That would actually make sense with some of the more theoretical work I've been doing
Well, 'work'
More like hypothesizing
late stage civilizations cant convince more people to be in favor than there are opposed
those in opposition seek to end the civilization
thats where we are
Ah, so in the absence of a unifying positive vision, destruction becomes the default consensus
yup
thats where we are
Ok, this fits
Chaos is the natural state of the universe.
Life is also a natural state, and it reverses chaos locally.
accepting that we are in the end, and knowing that it will end, the hope is for the better form to take root
But yes, this fits with my understanding of the life cycle of empire/civilization.
I don't see a better form emerging
