Feminism is a disease that has delusion as a symptom.

*doesn't normally swear, but wanted to keep the quote the same* lol

“We do not need the federal government to mandate what already exists: our longstanding, unequivocal support for freedom of expression,” she said. “This executive order will only muddle policies surrounding free speech, while doing nothing to further the aim of the first amendment.”

2019-03-22 04:51:26 UTC

^this makes no sense if you already support free speech then nothing is at risk

2019-03-22 04:52:02 UTC

"Several free speech groups opposed the order, including the American Civil Liberties Union, which took issue with “the partisan nature of the administration’s rollout of this executive order”."

2019-03-22 04:52:57 UTC

^the ACLU think free speech is partisan and their against the order 🤔

2019-03-22 04:54:01 UTC

"Some colleges’ leaders have said they worry the order could backfire. If a speaking event threatens to turn violent, for example, some say they might have to choose between canceling the event for safety and allowing it to continue to preserve federal funding."

2019-03-22 04:54:17 UTC

^tell us who are the people threatening to get violent

2019-03-22 04:54:36 UTC

wow the ACLU speaks out against civil liberties

2019-03-22 04:54:51 UTC

Trump should say he supports the ACLU see what they do

2019-03-22 04:56:03 UTC

"Trump is also is asking the education department to prepare a policy that would make sure colleges “share the financial risk” that students and the federal government take on with federal student loans."

2019-03-22 04:56:18 UTC

^get the government out completely and leave the college holding the bag

2019-03-22 04:56:37 UTC

hmm sounds like what Tucker was proposing earlier this week

2019-03-22 04:56:45 UTC

that colleges should co-sign the loans

2019-03-22 04:58:55 UTC

I think they've been working on this for a while. I agree though that college should be the ones handing out the loans. It will incentivize them to make sure students learn valuble things

2019-03-22 04:59:40 UTC

also once the government stops being involved they should allow people to declare bankruptcy on student loans

2019-03-22 05:07:50 UTC

I don't know if declaring bankruptcy on student loans is good idea or not.
When you do it in other instances, the banks still hold/get some kind of asset. They can't really take anything from you for your education.

2019-03-22 05:09:30 UTC

thats only true for secured loans.

2019-03-22 05:09:46 UTC

any unsecured loans or debts would leave the lender high and dry

2019-03-22 05:10:04 UTC

this is why bankruptcy leaves a 7 year black mark on your credit report

2019-03-22 05:10:36 UTC

you can get out of student loans, contrary to popular belief. you need to show hardship.

2019-03-22 05:14:18 UTC

Yes, but the banks aren't giving unsecured loans out. They get payed from the government, which i agree with grant should be less involved. But that means it will stop giving out so many loads without some kind of value upfront (normally) from the individual.

2019-03-22 05:15:06 UTC

that is only true for federal loans, not private loans.

2019-03-22 05:15:34 UTC

federal loans are around 5% interest, and privates are between 6-12.5%ish.

2019-03-22 05:15:49 UTC

obviously one is subsidized and one is not

2019-03-22 05:18:15 UTC

most of student loan debt is held by those without a degree. they attended college and dropped out.

2019-03-22 05:20:05 UTC

get the gov out and this will restrict the demand and force schools to lower prices. we do not need ppl who are unable to finish college , to go to college.

2019-03-22 05:21:13 UTC

all that does is give ppl, who would be better suited for trades, an increased amount of debt

2019-03-22 05:22:04 UTC

If the government gets out of colleges, how many private loans are banks going to be handing out to people to attempt to get whatever degree they want.

2019-03-22 05:22:18 UTC

they wont increase the lending

2019-03-22 05:22:23 UTC

because its more risky

2019-03-22 05:23:10 UTC

banks also ask (currently) for the degree your pursuing and the name of the college. they weigh the risk more

2019-03-22 05:23:26 UTC

I suspect that if the government gets out of the student loan business, then the primary way of going to college will be through employers that offer to pay for your degree.
