Fine, the problems there weren't all caused by socialism, but it was definitely one of the biggest factors.

oh i did, and finished with the concept of natural monopolies; that some industries, like utilities, are more efficient when there are only one or two providers with gov regulation. what works for natural monopolies does not work for other industries, and so having government operate those industries will be a disaster.
