*could have*
Everyone still knows that abolishing the electoral college could only benefit the left, because it would only take into account the biggest cities.
maybe not
if its done the way theyre trying right now, it could backfire
under the current system, cali cant go red
Imagine Cali giving their votes to Trump.
under a popular vote, cali would have to go red if the nation did
plus there's millions of people who don't vote because of where they are
who knows how it would go
I think you would have a lot more conservative turnout in blue states than you would liberal in red as well if people knew their state game votes to the popular winner.
tell you one thing though, those little towns in kansas would be just as ignored as they are now
I drove through Kansas the other day. That was interesting.
outside of several small towns were series of signs spaced apart along the interstate
They were greetings from the churches of the towns.
One group greeting from the churches together, and then individual greetings from each church on its own
never seen that before
It's usually signs for casinos and tourist traps
Abolishing it outright would benefit the left right now
but that's now
and that whole thing where certain states are going to force all their electoral college votes to vote for whoever won the popular vote can only backfire on them, right now.
I had a major conversations a month or two ago with a coworker who I strongly believe was ignorant to the pitfalls of abolishing the electoral college. I don't think he had genuine shitty intentions with his position, but there was a lot of educating occurring.
My brother doesn't understand it either. I've talked with him lightly about it. He's never lived outside of any major cities so he doesn't quite understand the damage that true democracy would have on rural communities, and if those communities are shoved under the rug you can expect the city folk to be starving within a short while.
Or that the purpose was to create unity in the country with balance of representation between states and people, same as the balance between the house and the senate
Yeah but the balance between house and senate were kind of destroyed when senators were elected democratically.
🤔
Somehow this is Trumps fault
*"OrAngE MaN BaD."*
Shit now I'm doing it...
I like how that guy got Coulter’s law exactly backwards. These people live in a fantasy world
...
I have to admit, I'd assumed he was white because he was identified as _"a former employee."_ (Seriously, that area's so white you'd think you were in Iceland if it weren't so hot and bright out.)
I didn’t follow this at all but I just thought it was funny that someone fucked up Coulter’s law so badly
Who would have thunk
OH wow, never would have guessed
i don't get it
why don't they just use their white privilege to not be poor?
Amazeballs.
@Mandatory Carry Virginia Beach is 20% black, far more black than the rest of the country. Admit it, you thought he was white because it was a mass shooting and only white people do mass shootings. it's way to close to DC

Media: Only white males cause mass shootings
Black/Gang/High Crime Neighborhoods: Are we a joke to you?!
