Fair tax vs flat tax?

Yeah, been skimming that while reading your take. It's something I'll have to think more on. It doesn't immediately jigsaw together in terms translating something similar to a use tax to how the rich currently pay almost all of the taxes on top of sales tax.

@Legalize I'm onboard with the fair tax, but I will never actually support it until after all other taxes have already been abolished, because I think that's the only way it will ever get implemented without becoming just another new tax on top of everything else.

Across the border in Idaho, they just sunsetted a massive number of their laws.

Turns out they have to specifically renew them every so often and.. just didn't.

The convention of states movement might be a close enough analogy. Last I checked, they're still gaining ground.

A flat tax percentage would be fair, but a flat tax dollar amount would not scale, and be equal between each extremes.

Then again, the Government relies on scaling the percentage higher and higher to the atmosphere for those in the utmost tax brackets.
