this guy just told me

NJ gun laws only don't work because pennsylvania is here

and I tried explaining that if a NJ resident bought a gun in PA (and btw we have mandatory BC on all purchases) it'd have to be shipped to a distributor in NJ

and also the shooter had handguns

and in PA you need a special license to buy handguns

so obviously that isn't the fucking problem

I would play devils advocate though for a moment

A lot of times the anti-2A people will say things like, "Gun Control works fine in Britain and Australia"

And, technically, they have a small point, those nations have been able to control the flow of guns... BUT.. they're island nations, they share no borders with any other nation

So it's true, the presence of areas of no law enforcement, or more-free people bordering a gun-control area does make gun control harder

But this is a good thing, not a bad thing.

(they also had no noticable change in crime rate patterns after it)

(in fact, aussie and UK both have rising crime rates right now :/)
