It's currently around 85-90:1 so it's a good time to buy - I'm looking to acquire either a kilo of silver(approx. 31 troy ounces) or 10 grams of gold. Their prices are around the same right now

if you keep it at home and you get robbed or they get fucked up in a fire, just like jewelry, the insurance will only cover about $5000 and only what you paid for it, not what it's currently at and you'll need to get it reappraised every year, plus home insurance is an expensive form to pay for it, plus you leave yourself vulnerable to dodgy agents selling off your details to thieves
