Actual benefits for wearing more than one flangle?

2018-10-15 17:04:18 UTC

Some headfi's claim it chances the soundsignature

2018-10-15 17:04:43 UTC

multiple areas that seal against the canal

2018-10-15 17:04:51 UTC

so you get a better seal and higher isolation

2018-10-15 17:05:12 UTC

issue is that bi/tri flange tips are often longer, which will affect the sound

2018-10-15 17:05:34 UTC

whether the affect is positive or negative is entirely down to the iem and your own preferences

2018-10-15 17:05:57 UTC

And then there is opening up an iem and closing it with tape/cotton

2018-10-15 17:34:04 UTC

buy ety or diy using shady taobao BA's and 3d printer at uni

2018-10-15 17:34:14 UTC

2018-10-15 22:11:18 UTC

@Windatica unless you're using an sla printer, 3d pritned iem enclosure will take a _LOT_ of post processing to work well

2018-10-15 22:11:43 UTC

well, or dlp, basically you want one of those fansy resin pritners that'll do 25 micron layers

2018-10-15 22:12:45 UTC

there's a few jet 3d pritners on the market that'll be good enough too but your uni prooobably doesn't have one of those

2018-10-15 22:12:49 UTC

they cost millions

2018-10-15 22:13:19 UTC

i really fucking want an hp jetfusion setup but i'll never be able to afford it :<

2018-10-15 22:44:18 UTC

>makerbotted iem enclosure
yeah just kill yourself now

dlp is a subset of sla, the other main tech is using a scanning laser to cure resin instead of a movie projector
plenty of unis have binder jet printers but you're right they'll be expensive af to use
you could probably make a KZ BA10 enclosure on a manual mill without too much thinking though :^)

2018-10-15 23:13:14 UTC

ive printed iem shells before without issue

2018-10-15 23:13:30 UTC

they dont look fantastic but they held fine

2018-10-15 23:23:30 UTC

same but with my entire existence

2018-10-15 23:25:15 UTC

You painted your entire existence and it didn't look fantastic but it held fine?

2018-10-15 23:25:24 UTC

2018-10-16 05:34:26 UTC

2018-10-16 05:34:44 UTC
