Granted, there are a lot of excellent resources online that are free.

Practice practice practice!

2019-08-16 02:30:51 UTC

Ad hom red herring...
Ok, I gotta make a round, brb.

2019-08-16 02:32:46 UTC

in short @Mandatory Carry I agree with the purpose of making every able bodied citizen armed, but I think wisdom dictates we avoid a registry and avoid compelling people to carry who do not feel equipped to do so

2019-08-16 02:32:53 UTC

It would make him prohibited under his own law too @Legalize

2019-08-16 02:33:18 UTC

Title VI Elective Exemption B just blew my mind. Maybe I'm not reading it right but I have to pay $300 a month to have a Total restriction. Which is defined as "A person under a total restriction may not possess any item identifiable for use as a weapon." Maybe I'm wrong but is that, I pay the government $300/month to be banned from owning a weapon of any sort?

2019-08-16 02:33:31 UTC

yes that is correct

2019-08-16 02:33:38 UTC

meaning they are not rights, but duties

2019-08-16 02:34:26 UTC

Ok, I'm out, hit the eject button and shit can this damn bill.

2019-08-16 02:34:28 UTC

which, to be fair, is the wording he uses

2019-08-16 02:34:39 UTC

He already did.

2019-08-16 02:34:48 UTC

Agreed, Spader. The problem is two fold. It's not just enough to compel them to carry, but it's vastly more important to have them genuinely train, become proficient, and learn medical too for plugging holes.

2019-08-16 02:34:53 UTC

read Title V Section 14

2019-08-16 02:34:54 UTC

it's a macro application of the draft, if everyone was drafted like Israel

2019-08-16 02:35:02 UTC

^^^^

2019-08-16 02:35:12 UTC

that part scares the shit out of me

2019-08-16 02:36:01 UTC

y'all may not remember, but I had relatives saying I was gonna 'go timothy mcveigh' because I went to local tea party meetings

2019-08-16 02:36:05 UTC

Title V Section 14 states "Section 14 Any person who willfully ignores any part of this act may be, upon first violation, fined not more than $1ØØ; Upon second and subsequent violations, $5ØØ. Upon fourth and subsequent violations, incarcerated not more than 2 years. This includes failure to carry as required, carrying as prohibited, and use of terminology contrary to this act."

2019-08-16 02:36:38 UTC

Seriously, Spader?

2019-08-16 02:36:55 UTC
2019-08-16 02:36:58 UTC

That is so fucking authoritarian. Usually shit like that is drafted to take AWAY guns.

2019-08-16 02:37:00 UTC

I was like, 11 at the time

2019-08-16 02:37:36 UTC

@CritterKiller big fax. Registries lead to bans, given time

2019-08-16 02:38:34 UTC

😅

2019-08-16 02:39:40 UTC

I'm all for people owning and carrying guns, but making it mandatory with some pretty heavy penalties or impossibly high ways of avoiding it is crazy. It's $3600.00 A YEAR to voluntarily avoid this shit.

2019-08-16 02:39:59 UTC

yup, sounds pretty racist to me

2019-08-16 02:40:25 UTC

If you can't avoid that, your looking at $300.00 fine and 2 years in prison

2019-08-16 02:40:35 UTC

a registry. That is pretty much the only way to make it enforceable.

2019-08-16 02:41:01 UTC

yes, it's "total exemption" which is MandatorySpeak for "completely banned from all weapons"

2019-08-16 02:41:21 UTC

God, I hope no leftist gets ahold of this.

2019-08-16 02:42:04 UTC

lmao @CritterKiller they're throwing red flags out the door because Trump won't ban ARs by executive order, I doubt they'd play the long game on this one

2019-08-16 02:43:10 UTC

I guess I meant a leftist with actual power.

2019-08-16 02:44:24 UTC

Chuck Shumer has as much real power as any non-circuit court judge has in our system

2019-08-16 02:44:46 UTC

You know, I came on because I wanted to find out if part of our gun problem could be attributed to a decrease in exposure to guns by parents of kids. Where the only exposure is what is found in Movies, TV, video games, and the news.

2019-08-16 02:45:10 UTC

Not to have my mind blown by something completely out of left field.

2019-08-16 02:45:52 UTC

sorry man

2019-08-16 02:46:09 UTC

I just wanted to sink my teeth into a real argument
