@Legalize I hate it when that happens.

2019-09-10 03:43:42 UTC

The Dong Gong is amazing

2019-09-10 03:43:43 UTC

They tend to default to emotion.

2019-09-10 03:43:44 UTC

Nice one mate

2019-09-10 03:44:11 UTC

Like, I don't know if God exists or not, but if he does, I like to think he would want me to seek truth as objectively as possible.

2019-09-10 03:44:30 UTC

@Legalize that's why I hate the Ex(insert religion here) subreddits

2019-09-10 03:44:39 UTC

He? Did you just dead name god?

2019-09-10 03:44:47 UTC

Fuck man.

2019-09-10 03:44:50 UTC

2019-09-10 03:45:00 UTC

@Legalize Ah, I see.

2019-09-10 03:45:25 UTC

I'm sorry, please don't send me to hell, hel, the underworld, or any other form of hurtful afterlife.

2019-09-10 03:45:32 UTC

Remember: god is a woman

2019-09-10 03:45:39 UTC

2019-09-10 03:45:41 UTC

2019-09-10 03:45:51 UTC

2019-09-10 03:45:55 UTC

Remember: A godly power does not need to care - only be powerful.

2019-09-10 03:46:05 UTC

72 virgins only means you're boning God int he afterlife

2019-09-10 03:46:21 UTC

2019-09-10 03:46:55 UTC

@Legalize they can be funny, but a lot of times I have a hard time trusting them. I find a common theme of ex Mormons accusing bishops of having child porn.

2019-09-10 03:47:37 UTC

@Legalize and that's the problem with being "anti a religion" ironically your world view becomes even more dogmatic than the dogmatic shackles you claim to have rid yourself from.

2019-09-10 03:49:53 UTC

Yeah there's a lot of stuff that prevent me from considering them, but I do like going, and my wife is a member so... There's that. Doctrinally their sect makes the most sense to me, but I have a hard time buying some of their claims of divinity.

2019-09-10 03:50:42 UTC

Imagine if the Mormons formed a warrior culture.

2019-09-10 03:51:06 UTC

They basically did when they settled Utah.

2019-09-10 03:51:14 UTC

The irony for me is when you call yourself anti-something, you're supposed to spend all your time researching every angle of that thing

2019-09-10 03:51:31 UTC

and to take in every tidbit of info you can get

2019-09-10 03:51:38 UTC

sadly that doesn't seem to be the case

2019-09-10 03:51:43 UTC

it's only negative shit

2019-09-10 03:52:09 UTC

True. Utah for the win! They better hold onto our constitutional rights.

2019-09-10 03:52:36 UTC

I have no hope for Coastal States.

2019-09-10 03:54:23 UTC

Salt lake City has become pretty liberal, and the current LDS culture is pretty non confrontational. Something happened in the 80'd that made them all "contention is of the devil"

I strongly disliked Brigham Young, but I'll be damned if he didn't give a shit for conflict.

2019-09-10 03:55:14 UTC

The church would easily be able to form a pseudo state in the north west if the US govt collapsed, but I don't know if the leadership would have the iron fist to protect all their resources.

2019-09-10 03:55:22 UTC

There is an out of print tabletop rpg called Dogs in the Vineyard that is basically about playing as wandering Mormon warriors who are basically judge, jury and executioner.

2019-09-10 03:55:51 UTC

@Legalize yes, and I love religion/theology. I just don't believe all of it.

2019-09-10 03:56:15 UTC

@wolfman1911 so, basically Mormon at the end of the BOM?

2019-09-10 03:56:32 UTC

Ohh you said warriors plural.
