It's a sorry state that the US has slacked on it's military expenditure so much that we would be disadvantaged if the entire rest of the world declared war on us at once.
If some other nation tries to put flags on distance moons and planets we'll have to step our game but until then we're sitting pretty with a healthy lead.
Space is awesome until you see the bill to get there. It's the coolest way that the government frivolously spends money but we probably shouldn't be forcibly seizing people's income for it.
