I don't get an EO to protect my interests

2020-02-05 01:14:27 UTC

I really don't get how peolpe hand wave this away

2020-02-05 01:14:38 UTC

as if it's from a "non legally binding defintion"

2020-02-05 01:14:46 UTC

which essentially means subject to change

2020-02-05 01:14:58 UTC

it's the same language they use to put people in Jail/Prison in Europe

2020-02-05 01:15:18 UTC

it's the exact same language translated ...

2020-02-05 01:15:43 UTC

Germany uses this standard to prosecute holocaust denial, and "antisemitism"

2020-02-05 01:16:01 UTC

I doubt it will stand for long

2020-02-05 01:16:12 UTC

Especially if someone sues over it

2020-02-05 01:16:22 UTC

The fact that it was made in the first place should also be worrisome

2020-02-05 01:16:25 UTC

yet, I'm somehow the loon for being concerned about seeing this language in a executive order... as a directive for our federal agencies.... because it's from a "non legally binding" definition crafted by a NGO?

2020-02-05 01:16:45 UTC

Like how Obamacare executive order got turned over right when people sued?

2020-02-05 01:16:52 UTC

How are (((you people))) so naive?

2020-02-05 01:17:57 UTC

@McFansy I agree.

2020-02-05 01:18:04 UTC

The only thing that's going to change this stuff is another executive order...

2020-02-05 01:18:08 UTC

and it's not going to be to repeal it

2020-02-05 01:21:06 UTC

This is very reminiscent of when I was trying to explain to some people that the President basically has all the powers of king

2020-02-05 01:21:18 UTC

and they were arguing over whether an executive order is really law or not...

2020-02-05 01:21:42 UTC

>but technically executive orders aren't law! The President can't write laws therefore he's not a king!

2020-02-06 02:46:55 UTC

AOC Skipping the SOTU was actually a brilliant move. She takes a little bit of flak in the short term, but avoids all the video clips of her not applauding something good (like the rest of the white suit wearing - *totally not kkk* mafia) that the rest of her peers will have to live down come election season.

2020-02-06 04:46:06 UTC

What difference does it make, she's not even going to be up for reelection.

2020-02-06 04:53:32 UTC

Yeah aren't they planning on removing her district?

2020-02-06 04:53:51 UTC

AOC is in the Klan...?

2020-02-06 04:54:04 UTC

I think yoh may be confused.

they have been unleashed

2020-02-07 13:21:43 UTC

historically when democrats show up dressed in all white, more often than not it's a klan meeting lol. it's a metaphor, i know they aren't actually klan members

2020-02-07 13:24:10 UTC

The first sentence of that post is empirically incorrect.

2020-02-07 13:24:49 UTC

And I kind of figured you didn't think they were literal klan members.

2020-02-07 13:25:24 UTC

I just don't understand the connection. That's what I'm trying to suss out

2020-02-07 13:26:01 UTC

Was it merely wearing white and an association of "Southern man bad"?

2020-02-07 13:27:01 UTC

i think you're focusing too much on a stray comment

2020-02-07 13:27:34 UTC

as the kids say, "it's not that deep fam"

2020-02-07 13:28:52 UTC

the debate point was that skipping the speech was a brilliant move for future reelection efforts

2020-02-07 13:31:02 UTC

Gotcha. I disagree.

2020-02-07 13:31:53 UTC

And I think statements like that deserve to be focused on. Using slurs like that is anti-white and classist.
